A Diablo 4 world boss spawns approximately every six hours, for a total of four possible world bosses set to appear per day.
The Diablo 4 world boss locations are also somewhat randomized, with each boss having the chance to spawn in multiple areas. However, we can narrow these spawn locations down to a handful of boss arenas, so that you can be ready to climb aboard your Diablo 4 mount or fast travel to any location at a moment’s notice.
Here are all the Diablo 4 world boss locations:
- Ashava the Pestilent – The Crucible in Fractured Peaks, Caen Adar in Scosglen, Saraan Caldera in Dry Steppes, or Fields of Desecration in Hawezar.
- Avarice, the Gold Cursed – Seared Basin in Kehjistan, Caen Adar in Scosglen, Saraan Caldera in Dry Steppes, or Fields of Desecration in Hawezar.
- Wandering Death, Death Given Life – The Crucible in Fractured Peaks, Caen Adar in Scosglen, Sarran Caldera in Dry Steppes, or Fields of Desecration in Hawezar.

From our experience, Diablo 4 world bosses don’t spawn on rotation, meaning there’s an equal chance for any of them to spawn at the allotted times. They do seem to spawn in a set window, roughly every 6 hours.
Here are the Diablo 4 world boss spawn times:
- PST: 5-7AM / 11AM-1pM / 5-7PM / 11PM-1AM
- EST: 2-4AM / 8-10AM / 2-4PM / 8-10PM
- BST: 1-3AM / 7-9AM / 1-3PM / 7-9PM
- AEST: 4-6AM / 10AM-12PM / 4-6PM / 10PM-12AM
Be aware that the above spawn times are a close approximation, and are still subject to change as we continue to encounter world bosses, so we recommend logging on 30 minutes prior to receive full confirmation via the in-game notification.
How to unlock the Diablo 4 world boss
Diablo 4 world bosses spawn for everyone on the server, but you will unlock the notification that Diablo 4 world bosses are about to spawn once you complete the main campaign.
After you make it through all Diablo 4 acts, you can expect to be notified exactly when and where world bosses spawn around 20 minutes prior to the time they’re scheduled to appear.
However, Diablo 4 is an open-world game, which means you’re still free to travel to a world boss and join in even if you’re yet to reach the Diablo 4 endgame. That said, we don’t recommend it – in all likelihood, you’ll spend most of your time dying which will hamper the success of the group. Instead, focus on leveling up and farming the best equipment at high rarity levels so you can participate as intended.
