Next Dead By Daylight update – Alan Wake DBD release time

When was the DBD Alan Wake release date? Seven years into the life of the popular asymmetrical horror game, many of our horror favorites have been engulfed by The Fog, from Michael Myers and Ghostface, to Silent Hill’s Cheryl Mason and even Nic Cage. And now fictional horror writer Alan Wake has wandered into DBD’s realms.

With around four new chapters a year, it’s a wonder the team at Behaviour are able to come up with new perks and powers for the new DBD killers and survivors. Somehow they do, and the year eight Dead by Daylight roadmap confirms a total of nine new characters. Following original killer The Singularity, shock survivor Nic Cage, and the good guys from Chapter 30, Alan Wake has entered the Fog. When did Alan Wake come to DBD?

The DBD Alan Wake release date was January 30, 2024, at 9am PST, 12pm EST, 5pm GMT. Tome 18, Revision, then arrived on January 31, 2024, featuring Alan himself.

We’ve seen some of the most iconic actors make their way into the fog recently, as Behaviour adds more voice lines to DBD. Nic Cage’s DBD voice lines took the game in a whole new direction, while original Chucky and Tiffany actor’s Brad Dourif and Jennifer Tilly returned to their roles to hilarious effect in Chapter 30. The Alan Wake chapter is no different, and you will no doubt recognize the likeness of live-action Alan Wake Ilkka Villi, alongside the voice of Matthew Porretta.

Alan Wake DBD perks

Alan Wake’s survivor perks are:

• Champion of the Light – While shining a flashlight, gain 50% haste. When you successfully blind a killer, they gain the hindered effect. This perk has a cooldown of 80 seconds.
• Boon: Illumination – Survivors inside the boon totem’s radius see the auras of all chests and generators. While you have a boon totem active, you cleanse or bless totems faster.
• Deadline – When you are injured, skill checks appear more frequently when healing or repairing, and appear in random positions. The benefit comes in that missing a skill check is reduced by 50%.

Upcoming Dead by Daylight chapters

The next full DBD chapter arrives in March 2024, featuring a new killer and survivor, as well as, hopefully, a new map. It’s been a while since we’ve had a new map in Dead by Daylight, with the Nostromo being the most recent. However, significant changes have been made to existing maps in the meantime, and we had the return of Stranger Things’ Hawkins Lab.
